#Giving Tuesday - Join the Movement & Give Back

Dear Friends,
We are very excited to join #GivingTuesday on Facebook this year. Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will contribute up to $2 million to Facebook fundraisers. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match up to $50,000 per nonprofit or $1,000 per fundraiser or donate button, until the $2 million in matching funds run out. The match will begin at 8AM EST (5AM PST) and Facebook will be waiving their processing fees for every donation made to nonprofits on #GivingTuesday. While $2 Million seems like a large amount, this is a national campaign so we strongly recommend that you donate at 8AM to take the opportunity to DOUBLE YOUR DONATION.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
1) Make a donation directly from our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/HMH.HamiltonMadisonHouse
2) Help us to raise more funds by creating a fundraiser for Hamilton-Madison House on your Facebook page. As a supporter of Hamilton-Madison House, we’d be honored if you would take this opportunity to reflect upon your commitment to our work by creating a Facebook fundraiser. Your fundraiser would help fund up to $1,000 toward our work. Creating a fundraiser is easy.
Here’s how to create a fundraiser:
- Go to https://www.facebook.com/HMH.HamiltonMadisonHouse/fundraisers
- Click “Create Fundraiser”
- Select from one of three cover photos (or create your own)
- Add a title, tell your story, add an end date and a goal
- Be sure to include #GivingTuesday in your description, then click Create
- From there you can invite friends, share on your News Feed or send a message
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Your donations will help us to serve 30,000 meals to seniors, teach 500 pre-schoolers, treat 1,500 individuals with mental health and addiction problems, mentor 250 youths - helping us reach more than 100,000 New Yorkers each year.
